STEP 6
This is how the body should appear after the Pearl Sparkle Body has been applied. Use a bodkin to smooth out any bumpy spots while the material is still wet.



STEP 7
Make sure that you rotate the vise, or remount the hook in the vise so that the hook is point up. This is how the fly should ride in the water. Use the Olive E-Z Shape Sparkle Body to draw a stripe on the top of the fly. This will match the olive bucktail in the wing, and create an olive dorsal surface that runs from the front to the back of the fly.

Apply a little of the Red Gill color Sparkle Body behind the eye to imitate the gill of the sand eel. Allow the fly to dry overnight. E-Z Shape Sparkle Body will dry to the touch in a couple of hours, but I like to let i t dry overnight before I fish the fly.



STEP 10
The completed Deep Sparkling Sand Eel. All of the sparkle in the E-Z Shape Sparkle Body comes out when the body is dry!

Helpful hints:

Squeeze the bottle slowly to apply the material. Give the bottle a few shakes now and then during application. Since the Sparkle Body will shrink a little as it cures, coat your fly a little thicker than you think you need to. A bodkin will help to distribute the material once it is on the hook. Keep the bottle capped when not in use! This product will not harden in the bottle, but if you leave it uncapped too long, the tip may clog. If it does, simply grasp the tip with your fingers, or a pair of pliers, and pull it from the bottle. Push out any clog that has formed from the inside. Replace the tip, and you're back in business. Clean up E-Z Shape Sparkle Body with water while it is still wet. Once it's dry, it's permanent. Be careful! This is a non-toxic product, but once it has cured, E-Z Shape Sparkle Body may be stuck for good to your vise, bench, or your spouse's new dining room table!
