Ordering Information

How to order from our catalog: View any of our product and catalog pages at your convenience. Click on the "Add to Cart" link next to any item to select that item. When you click any "Add to Cart", or "View Cart" link, a page will load showing you the contents of your Cart. You will always have the option to adjust the quantity if you wish to order more than one of any particular item. Click the "Recalculate" button to view your correct total if you adjust the quantity of an item, or change the shipping or tax parameters. If you change your mind about a particular item, you may adjust the quantity to "0" and click "recalculate" to remove an item from your cart. You may remove all items from your shopping cart by clicking the "Empty Cart" button. You may return to shopping, or continue on to checkout with your order by clicking on the appropriate links. For ease of surfing, use the "Back" button on your browser after clicking an "Add to Cart" link to return to the same page you were shopping.

When you are ready to check out, please be sure to select the proper shipping method and sales tax info. Check the box shown if your credit card billing address is different from the address you wish to have your order shipped to. The Checkout button will load a secure page for payment and shipping information. Please verify carefully that all of your information is recorded accurately! A "Special Instructions" box is available for any special instructions, comments, or requests. When all required information has been entered, click the "Submit this order" button. Your order will be placed securely, and we prepare your order as soon as we receive it! Placing your order through our online ordering system is the absolute fastest way to get your order with us processed.

Shipping and Handling Rates and Policies: Shipping within the United States is by The United States Postal Service or UPS (United Parcel Service). Shipping to addresses outside of the United States is by the US Postal Service. We offer flat rates on shipping. Please note that the USPS and UPS have both raised rates significantly recently - we updated our shipping rates as of October, 2021; this is the first time that we have raised our charges for USPS in more than 5 years. :

Domestic Orders (within the United States):

USPS "Priority Mail": $7.95. (Estimated Delivery time: 3-5 days). We prefer to ship by this method whenever possible. US Priority Mail delivers quickly to most USA addresses, and we will supply tracking number for your USPS shipment.

USPS "Express Mail": $40.95. (Estimated Delivery time: 1-2 days). Express Mail delivers very quickly to many metropolitan areas of the United States - often in 1 day. Rural areas are commonly a two day delivery by Express Mail. We will supply tracking number for your USPS Express Mail shipment.

USPS "First Class": $5.95. (Estimated Delivery time: 3-5 days). If your order is light in weight or compact in size, then First Class Mail is a good option which delivers quickly and includes a tracking number. Note that we can only ship small orders by First Class mail - if you choose this and your order ends up weighing more than one pound, then we will update the ship method & cost to Priority Mail status, as we are restricted to using First Class only for packages of less than one pound.

UPS (United Parcel Service) - We no longer offer UPS as a standard service, as the costs of UPS services have increased substantially in recent years, while in our opinion the speed and quality of the service has declined. However, we can still ship via UPS if you require it; please contact us at any of our email links or by phone and we will do our best to accomodate your needs.

Canada: We prefer to ship to Canada by US Priority Mail International; cost is $29.95. We also make available, but do not recommend US First Class Mail International to canada for $14.95. Estimated delivery time to Canada is 7-20 business/working days for Priority Mail International. We cannot offer any estimate of delivery times for First Class Mail International. Please note that all deliveries to Canada are now being handled by "Global Post" - you will receive a tracking number that can be used on Global Post's website to track your package at https://www.goglobalpost.com/track/

International Deliveries: We prefer to ship all overseas orders by US Priority Mail International; cost is a flat rate of $49.95. Also available is US Express Mail International; cost is a flat rate of $59.95 - this service is advertised by the US Mail Service as the fastest possible method. We also make available, but do not recommend US First Class Mail International for $29.95. Estimated delivery time to most overseas addresses is 10-21 business/working days for Priority Mail International, slightly faster for Express Mail International. We cannot offer any estimate of delivery times for First Class Mail International. Please see www.usps.com for more information on United States International mail services. Please note that all international deliveries are now being handled by "Global Post" - you will receive a tracking number that can be used on Global Post's website to track your package at https://www.goglobalpost.com/track/

Delivery time or time in transit to some specific overseas destinations: According to the US Postal Service, estimated time of delivery for most European countries is 7-14 business days - in our experience, delivery times are usually longer than that. As a practical measure, most of our shipments to the United Kingdom, France, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, etc., take about 2-3 weeks to arrive. A very few packages may arrive sooner, and plenty of others are occasionally delayed for as much as 4-6 weeks - with the current state of customs scrutiny of international mail, we have had a few delays - this situation is beyond our control.

If you are not willing to accept some risk for international shipping, please do not place an order. Thank you for your understanding.

Italy and Mexico are two countries where we have experienced significant delays, and we have had occasional problems with delivery to these countries. Please be advised - we offer no guarantee of delivery to addresses in Italy or Mexico at this time!

We now supply tracking information for international packages shipped by the US Mail! Please note, however, that in our opinion, the tracking services supplied by US Mail may offer extremely limited information about the movement of packages.

All Customs/VAT fees & duties are the sole responsibility of the customer.

PLEASE BE AWARE: We are required by United Sates law to state the value and the contents of all international packages on a customs form attached to the outside of each package. Please do not ask us to misstate the value or contents of your order. If you are not prepared to pay your countries' import duties, please do not place an order. Any discrepancy between the package contents and the description on the customs form on the outside of the package can be a cause for delay by postal or customs authorities.

Delivery by United Parcel Service (UPS) is available to some countries, though the cost is much higher ($100 or more depending on your location). Tracking services are available when shipping internationally by UPS. We suggest this as an excellent alternative if you have a high-value or time-sensitive order. Contact us if you require international shipping by UPS. More info: www.ups.com.

VERY IMPORTANT: Some countries may restrict the importation of natural fly tying material such as feathers, bucktails, etc... You are responsible for knowing your own countries' restrictions on imports. Select your country from the list (countries are listed alphabetically). Tight Lines / Saltwaterflies.com is not responsible for the seizure or destruction by customs or import authorities of any restricted items that you may request on your order, or any delay of your order due to the inclusion of such items. If in doubt, leave it out. Additionally, some of the products that we offer like head cement, or other flammable liquids, are completely prohibited from air shipments. Adhesives like epoxy, etc, can cause problems with spillage during shipment. Please do not request these items if you are ordering from outside the US.

Out of stock items: We do everything in our power to keep a full inventory at all times, but items do occasionally go out of stock. Our website is updated for inventory nearly every day, so our online catalogs are 99.9% accurate as to whether items are in stock (marked with an "Add to Cart" link) or out of stock (marked with a Temporarily out of stock link). We do not hold backorders as a general rule, but we may if it appears as if the particular item was important to your order. If you do or do not want us to backorder items, feel free make a note in the "Special Instructions" box at checkout. A great way to do this is to specify: "Please do not ship without the following item: ----, but alert me by e-mail if this item is not currently available"...this will let us know that a specific item is critical to your order. We do not make substitutions on orders unless specifically requested by the customer.

Return Policy: Your satisfaction is always 100% Guaranteed! Please contact us if you have a problem with your order. We accept returns of any item in original condition within 15 days of receipt. We offer store credit or a full refund on all returned items.

Privacy Policy: We Respect Customer Privacy. We do not share customers' information with any third party. Transactions are protected on Saltwaterflies.com by the latest state-of-the-art SSL Encryption, so transfers of sensitive information are securely encoded and safe. We do maintain a mailing list of our customers, and we periodically send out a mailing or e-mail "newsletter" to our customers.
