Crazy Charlie

One of the all-time Classic bonefish flies, the Crazy Charlie is an excellent general purpose fly for a variety of flats fishing situations.
The "Skinny Water Charlie" (not pictured) is also known as a "Blind Charlie" - this fly is the same as the Crazy Charlie, but tied without the bead chain eyes - a very lightweight fly for shallow water and delicate presentations. The "Skinny Water Charlie" that we offer features a monofilament weedguard. The "Crystal Charlie" version (see below) features a pair of grizzly saddle hackle tips over the wing of the fly, which adds a nice mottled pattern to this classic fly.

The Charlie style of fly has been imitated and adapted to a wide range of bonefish flies, and a good selection of these flies belongs in every bonefish angler's box. The #4 fly is approximately 1 1/2 inches in length. Similar patterns: Gotcha.
