an excellent general purpose fly for a variety of flats fishing situations.
The "Crystal Charlie" version features a pair of grizzly saddle hackle tips over the wing

which adds a nice mottled pattern to this classic fly.

The Charlie style of fly has been imitated and adapted to a wide range of bonefish flies, and a good selection of these flies belongs in every bonefish angler's box. The #4 fly is approximately 1 1/2 inches in length. Similar patterns: Gotcha.
