Gotcha!

The Gotcha is perhaps the top producing bonefish pattern ever developed, and this bright pearlescent fly gets the attention of bonefish all over the globe. Our article on Tying the Gotcha can be found at this link. Useful in a wide range of conditions, and available in a range of sizes. The standard "Tan" version is pictured above. We now offer several variations on this popular bonefish fly, including a Cream version which is excellent for white sand flats in the Bahamas and other locations. Larger sizes of these have been requested by our good customers several times; to satisfy the need for larger flies in places like Andros and the South Pacific, we are now offering some of our Gotcha flies in sizes #2 and #1. Also available are a "Lead Eye" Gotcha for deeper water, the "Blind Gotcha" (tied without eyes for very shallow water situations), and a version with a weedguard for fishing flats with snags or weeds. The "Bandit" is the same fly with a banded pattern on the wing (see photo below). The Bunny Gotcha is a modern variation of this fly which features lead eyes for weight and a rabbit fur wing for maximum action in the water. See also the "Rubber Legs" Gotcha style shown below. Lastly, the "Gotcha Clouser"... a classic Clouser style fly, tied with craft fur and brass eyes - an excellent all-purpose bonefish fly for just about any location.

Gotcha Bandit

The Gotcha "Bandit" is a standard gotcha with a barred or "grizzly" patterned wing to mimic the pattern of some small prey animals like gobies, shrimp, etc.

Spawning Gotcha

The Spawning Gotcha has become a real "go-to" fly for many bonefish locations... this is a great fly for darker bottoms, mixed grass flats & creeks, etc. The wing of this fly is a blend of natural and synthetic fibers which provides a nice, subtle sparkle. Orange "tag" helps the fly stand out and get noticed - bonefish gobble this up quick! Choose the bead chain eye for shallow water, brass eye for deeper flats. Brass Eyes are silver colored eyes made of brass... a bit heavier than the bead chain eyes. Spawning Gotcha side view shown above, top view shown below.

Rubber Legs Gotcha / Sili Charlie

The "Rubber Legs" Gotcha is a new version of the classic Gotcha style - sometimes referred to as the "Sili Charlie". "Rubber Legs" style bonefish flies are very effective in many locations - these silicone rubber legs add dynamic movement to this most productive pattern.
